Living in Babylon: No Other Gods, Lesson 8

From the Heart! - The question remains the same: who or what will you and I serve?  Joshua made it clear that he and his house were choosing to serve the Lord.  You and I need to make a similar choice!  Part of putting the one true God first in our lives is to make sure that we don’t have anything of lesser value that we are worshiping.  The Bible calls this idolatry.  In order to avoid idolatry, you and I need to Recognize, Remove, and Replace any idols that have crept into our lives.  Today, we will look at three idol archetypes from the Old Testament - Asherah, Starry Hosts, and Molech - and how these idol types have made their way into our current culture.  Most importantly, we will look at Biblical ideas/themes that need to replace these idols!
