Living in Babylon: Lesson 9 - " Why is Idolatry So Bad?"

We live in a fallen world where everything is out of sorts. Sin is rampant, temptations are plentiful, and idols are everywhere. When we harbor idols in our hearts, they corrupt our relationship with God and rob us of God’s blessings.

The idols of Babylon cannot be avoided—but they can be overcome! When we subject our idols to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, they lose their power over us. We are free to serve God and receive his blessings. In the absence of idols, God fills our hearts with his peace, hope, and joy.
