The Book of Acts, Lesson 25: "Christ is at the Center"
What a joy it is to study the book of Acts together! Today, we will be learning that the Old Testament is not a disconnected collection of ancient tales. Rather it is filled with types, characters, and symbols that all point us to Christ. From the ram caught in the thicket that spared Isaac, to the Passover lamb whose blood covered the doorposts, to David’s victory over Goliath—each of these moments foreshadowed the ultimate Deliverer who would come to conquer sin and death for us all. Every prophecy, every sacrifice, and every shadow finds its fulfillment in Him.
When we read Scripture with Christ at the center, the whole story comes alive, and the Book of Acts helps to bridge the gap between the Old and the New. The New Testament reveals the glory that the Old Testament anticipated. The same God who spoke through Moses and the prophets speaks through His Son today, inviting us into the fullness of His redemption. Christ is not just part of the story—He is the story. He is the thread that ties Genesis to Revelation, the heartbeat of God’s Word, and the hope of every believer. Life Point: All of Scripture Points to Christ.
