Mighty God

Have you ever found yourself stranded and desperately needing help? Has your car ever broken down while you were far from home? Have you ever been on a trip and gotten lost? Maybe you got confused and turned the wrong way and ended up in the middle of nowhere. When you finally realized you needed help, you still had to find someone you could trust to ask for directions. 

It’s not a very good feeling to be lost, is it? Your heart starts racing, your hands get sweaty, and your mind starts racing. No matter where you look, nothing seems familiar. In that moment, you desperately look for someone to help you, for someone to save you!

Through our study in Isaiah 9:6-7 we will focus on the second name given for Jesus in this ancient prophecy: The Name, Mighty God! As we look at the meaning of this powerful name, we will discover an important truth: When it comes to our salvation, we are left to the mercy of Someone else - The Mighty God who went to the cross on our behalf!
