Mike Darling moved to Marshall with his parents who started a hardware store in 1975.  Mike attended and graduated from Marshall High and then Taylor University with a bachelor degree in business administrator.  Mike and Lynn, also a Taylor grad, met and married in 1981 and have three children.  In 1998 they adopted a brother and sister.  Mike and Lynn owned and operated the hardware in Marshall until 2023 when they sold and semi-retired.


In 1975, my parents moved to Marshal and began a hardware store. I attended Marshall HS and graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. I met and married my wife, Lynn, a fellow Taylor grad in 1981. We had three children and then adopted another son and daughter. We owned and operated my family's hardware store until 2023 when we sold it and semi-retired.

I’ve gone to church as long as I can remember and at a very young age, accepted Christ as my savior (in the most innocent and immature way possible!) I just knew that Jesus was good. Over time, my faith slowly grew into a deep love for my Savior. I have served as an Elder here at CHCC since 2020.
