Brock Peters
Elder
Hi church family! My name is Brock Peters. I am currently an Elder at CHCC and have served in this capacity since 2010. I also teach Kid City on a regular basis among a few other things.
I became a believer between the summer of 9th and 10th grade in high school. I was raised in the church, but decided this was going to be my faith and placed my trust in Jesus at that point. I knew right away that God was calling me to His work. In college, this was as a part of the leadership of Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Albion College. Each church that Liz and I have attended, we have continued this call in serving and leading. About 2 years ago, I felt the call to full-time ministry. I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in preparation for this change from my current profession in public education. I am so excited for what God has in store!
I was born and raised in Olivet, but taught the first 7 years of my career in Warren, Michigan. Liz and I started our family there, but desired to be back in a small town to raise our kids. In 2006, we moved back “home” to Olivet. We have 4 daughters - Abbey, Taylor, Emily, and Kendall - and are surrounded by an amazingly supportive extended family! I look forward to serving and loving the people of Olivet and the surrounding areas with this body for many years to come!
