Ministry Director
Hey Church! My name is Alaina and I have served as Ministry Director since 2019. Prior to that I served as Creative Coordinator and have been attending since 2013.
I’m an Olivet townie… born and raised here! I grew up in a Christian family, but my faith didn’t really become a central part of my life until I began to struggle with singleness in my late 20s. As I hit my knees in depression and loneliness, I found a Savior that was fully sufficient for all my needs. And as I turned to him, He surrounded me with His love and an amazing community of believers running hard after Him. I will forever be thankful for His grace and mercy as He took the single status I hated and showed me the absolute gift that it is.
And man, has He taken me on a journey since! I had been working in state government for 10 years and spent a lot of time striving for career status, graduating from Olivet College with a Bachelor of Arts and obtaining a Masters in Management from Davenport University. But as I started pursuing Christ with all I had, He gave me a heart for His mission and eventually drew me into full time ministry here at CHCC. He turned my striving into resting in Him and I am so thankful!
Most days, you can find me at the church, spending time with family, and/or feeding people. It has been an amazing blessing to have a front row seat to what God is doing in and through this local church body! I’m so excited to see what He does in the future!
