Hospitality Coodinator
I was raised from a young age in the church, involved in youth group and mission opportunities throughout my childhood. I decided I wanted to follow Jesus at 6 years old but for many years (throughout high school and early college) I lived a lukewarm Christian life, wrestling with different sins while also being involved in church ministry. But the Lord is faithful and showed me so much grace. While going to college, I was involved in a campus ministry (His House Christian Fellowship) where I attribute a reinvigoration of my faith and love for the Lord. This college ministry is also where I met my husband Randy.
I grew up in the kitchen with my Dad and Mom, developing my passion for food from a young age. Little did I know that passion would become such a core part of my daily ministry. Since being married and now having children, my desire and passion for hospitality, especially through food and fellowship (Acts 2:46) has only grown. I feel passionate about families and how we can make our homes, the core ministry in our lives no matter our vocation. We have the opportunity to use it as a witness and ministry to others. I love the way that a dinner and game night with new or familiar faces can break barriers and open up great discussion or how a home-cooked meal can be a comfort to a postpartum Mom or an ill church member. I am grateful to the Lord for our CHCC family and seeing the way God uses everyone’s unique skills and talents to be the body of Christ.
